Sanming Ecological New Town Wetland Park is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

Ruyi Lake Wetland Park, also known as Sanming Ecological New Town Wetland Park, is located in the new town of Sha County and serves as a newly developed recreational area for residents of Sanming’s Sha County. It is divided into three zones: the ecological purification area (Zone A), the ecological conservation area (Zone B), and the ecological education area (Zone C), offering multiple functions such as ecological sightseeing and leisure activities. The total area of the park is 45.84 hectares. Among them, the ecological purification area (Zone A) covers 15.65 hectares; the ecological conservation area (Zone B) covers 9.78 hectares; and the ecological education area (Zone C) covers 20.41 hectares.

The design of the wetland park follows the philosophy of "learning from nature." The overall layout is based on the site’s existing natural features such as fish ponds, farmland, and water systems. Using natural methods, it integrates the existing water bodies and vegetation to create a mountain-style bamboo forest water town.

The park design leverages the natural conditions of the Ecological New Town site and the advantages of new urban development. With ecology as the foundation, priority is given to protection and restoration. The aim is to establish a green connection between the wetland and the ecological new town, enhancing the value of the surrounding land. The wetland park serves as an eco-friendly calling card for attracting investment to the new town, while also providing residents with a natural space to connect with nature.

The Ruyi Lake, as well as the mountain forests, water systems, and floral landscapes within the wetland park, are rich in resources. Pavilions, waterside pavilions, arched bridges, and boardwalks are thoughtfully arranged, while a variety of flowers, waterwheels, and lake scenery create a dynamic setting. Once completed, it will become an ideal destination for citizens and tourists to vacation, sightsee, and connect with nature.
