Shaoxing Li Gang Memorial Hall

The Li Gang Memorial Hall was built in 1983, covering an area of 1,200 square meters, with two exhibition rooms—one in the main hall of Dabao Yan Temple, spanning 400 square meters, and another in the Li Zhongding Gong Ancestral Hall, covering 700 square meters. In 1987, a new Folk Museum (affiliated with the municipal museum) was established in Daode Lane on Wusi Road. In February 1988, the Folk Museum was completed, becoming the first specialized museum in the province dedicated to showcasing the traditional culture and lifestyle of the region’s historical development. The municipal museum houses nearly 3,000 cultural relics. It has a staff of nine, and visitor numbers have been increasing year by year.
