The Shaowu South Wuyi Medicine Expo Park is a national AA-level tourist attraction.

The South Wuyi Medicine Expo Park, located in Zhangjiafang, Zhushan Village, Chengjiao Town, Shaowu City, Fujian Province, is an industry-led project focusing on traditional Chinese medicinal materials. It is one of the key construction projects of the Shaowu National Agricultural Science and Technology Park in Fujian. The project covers an area of 1,616 mu (including 344 mu of farmland and 1,272 mu of mountainous land), with over 9 million yuan already invested. It has developed a large-scale field cultivation base for medicinal herbs covering more than 300 mu, a forest-under cultivation base for medicinal herbs spanning over 1,150 mu, and a germplasm resource garden for medicinal plants of the Wuyi Mountain Range encompassing over 160 mu, which includes more than 600 varieties of medicinal plants from the Wuyi Mountains.

The "Shaowu National Agricultural Science and Technology Park in Fujian" is situated in the northwest of Fujian Province and has been recognized by the Ministry of Science and Technology of China as the seventh batch of national agricultural science and technology parks. It is also the first national-level agricultural science and technology park in Nanping City. The park focuses on traditional Chinese medicinal materials as its leading industry and is divided into three functional zones: the core zone, the demonstration zone, and the radiation zone. It employs a development model where the "core zone drives the demonstration zone, the demonstration zone stimulates the radiation zone, forming an interconnected and interactive technology dissemination system" to promote industrial growth.

The park features characteristics that are "local, cross-regional, and cross-provincial." The "core zone" comprises three contiguous towns—Shuibei, Chengjiao, and Dabugang—covering a scale of 8,000 mu. It focuses on constructing five major projects: the Minbei Traditional Chinese Medicine Science and Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Service Platform, the Minbei Traceable Production and Processing Base for Chinese Medicine, the Minbei High-quality Chinese Medicinal Material Seed and Seedling Breeding Base, the Minbei Forest-under Rare Medicinal Materials Eco-mimetic Cultivation Base, and the Medicine Expo Park. The "demonstration zone" is distributed across various towns, spanning 12,000 mu, and serves as a crucial base for demonstrating technological achievements and industrialization within the park. The "radiation zone" encompasses all ten counties and cities within the Nanping City jurisdiction and extends to neighboring areas such as Taining and Jiangle in Fujian, as well as Lichuan and Zixi in Jiangxi Province, covering a scale of 20,000 mu. This zone is an important industrial area for the dissemination, application, and promotion of the park's technologies.

In December 2013, the park was listed by the Ministry of Science and Technology as one of the "First Batch of National Science and Technology Commissioners' Entrepreneurship Bases."
