Shaowu Wenchang Pavilion is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Fujian Province.

Wenchang Pavilion: Located on the northwest side of Xiapu Natural Village, Xinzhai Village, Jinping Township, Shaowu City, Nanping, Fujian Province, Jinping—also known as Jinpingping—is situated to the west of Shaowu City and is one of its most remote townships, as well as an important border trade hub between Fujian and Jiangxi. The Wenchang Pavilion was built during the Qianlong era of the Qing Dynasty (1736–1795) and forms the core main structure of the Wenchang Palace, the principal feng shui building at the water outlet of Jinping. The Wenchang Palace faces southeast from the northwest, with an orientation of 142 degrees. It is a single-courtyard corridor-style building covering an area of 519.03 square meters. The Wenchang Pavilion stands on a platform at the end of the central pathway within the palace courtyard, occupying an area of 69.97 square meters. It features a triple-eaved, four-cornered pyramidal roof and has a total height of 12.39 meters across its three levels. The building has a square floor plan: the first level is three bays wide and deep, the second level is one bay wide and deep with an surrounding corridor, and the third level is a single square bay. Structurally, it is supported by four central golden columns that run vertically from top to bottom to bear the load, with a central Leigong (Thunder God) column supporting the pyramidal roof. The structure is simple yet sturdy, and the architectural decoration mainly features dragon-shaped diagonal braces. Beams, brackets, and ceilings are richly painted and decorated, giving the pavilion a grand and luxurious appearance.

The Wenchang Pavilion features a unique architectural structure with strong characteristics of northern Fujian and serves as a valuable physical example for studying the development and evolution of Qing Dynasty architecture and construction techniques. It holds significant historical, artistic, and scientific research value. It was listed as part of the seventh batch of provincial-level cultural heritage sites in 2009.
