The Wubao City Ruins are located in Guxian Village, Shuibei Town, Shaowu City, dating back to the Han Dynasty.

Guxian Village: Introduction to Guxian Village

Guxian Village is located east of Shaowu City, with the village office just 2.5 kilometers from the urban center. It borders the Futun River to the south and is known as the “eastern gateway” of Shaowu City. With a long history, Guxian Village was the original site where Zhaowu County was established in the third year of the Yong’an era of the Wu Kingdom during the Three Kingdoms period (260 AD), and was then known as Wubao City. In the fourth year of the Taiping Xingguo era of the Song Dynasty (979 AD), the county seat was moved to its current location in the urban area, hence the name “Guxian Village” (Former County Village). The village covers a total area of 60,300 mu, including 56,000 mu of mountainous land and 4,300 mu of arable land.
