Guxian Village: Introduction to Guxian Village

Guxian Village is situated to the east of Shaowu City, with the village office just 2.5 kilometers from the urban area. It borders the Futun River to the south and is often referred to as the “eastern gateway” of Shaowu City. With a long history, Guxian Village is where Zhaowu County was first established in the third year of Yong’an during the Wu Kingdom of the Three Kingdoms period (260 AD), known then as Wubao City. In the fourth year of the Taiping Xingguo era of the Song Dynasty (979 AD), the county seat was moved to its current location in the urban area, hence the name “Guxian Village” (Former County Village). The village covers a total area of 60,300 mu, including 56,000 mu of mountainous land and 4,300 mu of arable land. It administers 12 natural villages, 17 villager groups, and has 1,019 households...
