Guxian Village: Introduction to Guxian Village

Guxian Village is located to the east of Shaowu City, with the village office just 2.5 kilometers from the city center. It borders the Futun River to the south and is known as the “eastern gateway” of Shaowu City. With a long history, Guxian Village was the original site where Zhaowu County was established in the third year of Yong’an during the Three Kingdoms’ Wu period (260 AD), then known as Wubao City. In the fourth year of the Taiping Xingguo era of the Song Dynasty (979 AD), the county seat was moved to its current location in the urban area, hence the name “Guxian Village” (Former County Village). The village covers a total area of 60,300 mu, including 56,000 mu of mountainous land and 4,300 mu of arable land. It administers 12 natural villages, 17 villager groups, and has 1,019 households...
