The Xie Family Granary is located in Heping Town, Shaowu City, dating back to the Qing Dynasty.

The Xie Family Granary has been designated as a county-level cultural heritage site.

Heping Town: Heping Town is situated in the southwest of Shaowu City, covering an area of 192 square kilometers with a population of 21,000.

Heping Town boasts a long history. As early as over 4,000 years ago, ancestors of the Yue ethnic group settled and thrived here. Its first written records date back to the Tang Dynasty. Known as “Zhoujin” in the Tang Dynasty, it was called “Heping Li” during the Song and Yuan Dynasties, the Thirty-third District in the Ming Dynasty, a sub-prefecture of Heping in the Qing Dynasty, the Third District of Shaowu during the Republic of China, and was established as Heping Town in 1950.

Heping is located at a strategic point in southern Shaowu and served as an important transportation hub connecting northwestern Fujian and Jiangxi in ancient times.
