Heping Liao Family Mansion is located in Heping Town, Shaowu City, and dates back to the Qing Dynasty.

Heping Liao Family Mansion has been designated as a county-level cultural relics protection unit.

Heping Town: Heping Town is situated in the southwest of Shaowu City, covering an area of 192 square kilometers with a population of 21,000.

Heping Town has a long history. As early as over 4,000 years ago, ancestors of the Yue people settled and thrived here. Its earliest written records date back to the Tang Dynasty. It was called “Zhourui” in the Tang Dynasty, known as “Heping Li” during the Song and Yuan Dynasties, part of the Thirty-third District in the Ming Dynasty, established as a sub-prefecture of Heping in the Qing Dynasty, became the Third District of Shaowu in the Republican era, and was officially set up as Heping Town in 1950.
