The town is traversed by the Futun River, Yingxia Railway, and National Highway 316, offering highly convenient water and land transportation. Weimin Railway Station handles an annual freight volume of 1,200 railcars. It lies 55 kilometers from the city center and 45 kilometers from the Shunchang interchange of the Beijing–Kowloon Expressway, covering an area of 105.23 square kilometers. The town is known as the “Hometown of Fruits” and the “Hometown of Hydropower.”
