Luoling Bridge

Luoling Bridge A county-level key cultural relic protection unit. Located on the Cui Stream, 3 kilometers southeast of Yangyuan Village in Yangyuan Township, it is a wooden arch covered bridge. The bridge is 40.5 meters long, 4.3 meters wide, and 3.8 meters high, with a single span of 28 meters and a height of 7 meters above the water surface. It was first built in the 22nd year of the Wanli reign of the Ming Dynasty (1549), and thereafter underwent multiple restorations—in the 2nd year of the Hongguang reign of the Southern Ming Dynasty (1645), the 13th year of the Qianlong reign of the Qing Dynasty (1748), the 7th year of the Jiaqing reign (1802), and the 9th year of the Guangxu reign (1883). The existing structure was constructed during the Guangxu period. The bridge features a single-story, single-eave corridor with nine bays and 68 pillars. Both sides are fully enclosed with double-layer wooden boarding and feature windows of various shapes. In the past, this bridge was a vital section of the ancient route connecting Zhenghe and Pinqiao. After the opening of the Zhengping Highway, the bridge gradually lost its transportation function. However, as a precious example of ancient bridge architecture, it remains a point of interest.
