The Former Site of the First CPC Zhenghe Branch is a cultural relics protection unit of Fujian Province and a classic red tourism destination.

The Former Site of the First CPC Zhenghe Branch is a provincial-level key cultural relics protection unit, located in Fengtou Village, Dongping Town. In 1928, Communist Party member Yang Zeshi was secretly dispatched to his hometown of Fengtou to carry out revolutionary activities. He organized a “reading club,” trained activists, and recruited party members. In July 1929, Yang Zeshi presided over a meeting at the Yang Family Ancestral Hall, officially establishing the CPC Zhenghe Branch, with Yang serving as secretary. The Yang Family Ancestral Hall, initially built in the 19th year of the Guangxu reign of the Qing Dynasty (1893), consists of one main hall and thirteen rooms, covering an area of 760 square meters. It displays the stories of 17 revolutionary martyrs including Yang Zeshi, a memorial stele for the former site of the CPC Zhenghe Branch, a memorial room for revolutionary relics, a topographic map of the Jian-Song-Zheng Border Region, as well as more than ten handwritten documents and inscriptions by revolutionary figures such as Yang Zeshi and Chen Guifang, over 20 pieces of revolutionary relics, 47 historical photos related to the revolution, and more than 20 inscriptions by central and provincial leaders. It holds significant documentary and commemorative value. The county Party committee and government have designated the birthplace of the First Branch—the Yang Family Ancestral Hall—as a memorial hall and listed it as a patriotic education base of the county.
