Fengtou Nanmu Forest

Fengtou Nanmu Forest is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

The Zhenghe Fengtou Nanmu Forest 3A-level Scenic Area is located in Fengtou Village, Dongping Town, Zhenghe County, Nanping City, Fujian Province. It is 36 kilometers from downtown Zhenghe, 3 kilometers from Dongping Town, 6 kilometers from the Songjian Expressway exit, and 108 kilometers from Wuyishan Airport. It neighbors the famous scenic spots of Wuyishan and Baishuiyang. The core area of the scenic spot, Fengtou Village, is a renowned revolutionary base and Soviet area in northern Fujian, and the birthplace of the first Party branch of Zhenghe County. It is recognized as a Fujian Provincial Characteristic Rural Tourism Village, Provincial Featured Tourism Landscape Village, Provincial Traditional Village, Provincial Ecological Village, Provincial Fishery Demonstration Base, Provincial Forest Homestay, and one of the Famous Village Towns under the “Fresh Fujian – Beautiful Countryside” initiative. The scenic area features beautiful ecological farmland landscapes and mountain-water scenery, complemented by vibrant folk culture and historical sites. Nature and culture, ecology and heritage, red tourism and green landscapes blend seamlessly, enhancing each other.

The scenic area highlights “Three Colors and Six Aromas.” The Three Colors refer to: Red (red tourism), Green (Nanmu forest science education and sightseeing), and White (premium mineral water, white tea, and liquor). The Six Aromas refer to: floral fragrance, fruit aroma, sauce aroma, wine aroma, water aroma, and tea aroma. The area is gradually being developed around the Nanmu forest as the centerpiece, with a main focus on red culture experiences and leisure sightseeing. It is divided into three major zones: Fengtou Nanmu Forest, Red Culture Tourism Area, and Leisure Sightseeing Area.
