Scenic Area Introduction:

Carp Stream originates from the northern end of the Jiufeng Mountain Range in the Wuyi Mountains and is a tributary of the Li Stream, which is part of the upper reaches of the Jiaolong Stream. The main stream is 7.1 km long, with a drainage area of 16.8 square kilometers. The average elevation of the scenic area is 1,000 meters, with forest coverage reaching 86% and an annual average temperature of 13.9°C. It boasts a unique "dual" climate and is known as the "Natural Summer Capital."

The scenic area features a beautiful ecological environment with well-preserved vegetation and a rich diversity of species. In recent years, guided by the concepts of green ecology and beautiful countryside development, local efforts have focused on forest conservation and fish farming in the streams. Ecotourism and folk culture have rapidly developed. With its blue-brick, dark-tiled houses, rainbow-shadowed covered bridges, willows dancing over carp-filled waters, and pine forests and bamboo seas, the area has been honored as a provincial “Water Town Fishing Village” and was included in the third batch of China’s Traditional Villages.

Zhenqian Town: A town under the jurisdiction of Zhenghe County. Established as Guanli Town during the Five Dynasties’ Jin period, it belonged to the 17th and 18th districts during the Qing Dynasty. In 1951, it became the Second District, was restructured as Zhenqian Commune in 1958, changed to a township in 1984, and was officially established as a town in 1992. Located in the southeastern part of the county, on the upper reaches of the Jiaolong Stream, it is 28 kilometers from the county seat. Covering an area of 234 square kilometers with a population of 25,000, it is traversed by the Xiaopu Highway.
