The Site of the Suiyingchang Silver Mine is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Fujian Province.

The Site of the Suiyingchang Silver Mine is located in Jinping Village, Lingyao Township, Zhenghe County, dating back to the Song Dynasty.

Description: Distributed in the valley northeast of Jinping Village, silver mining began in the 32nd year of the Shaoxing era (1162) during the Song Dynasty and was closed in the 16th year of the Zhengde era (1521). In the 2nd year of the Longxing era (1164), the Pit Smelting and Transport Office was established at the mine site under official government supervision to oversee silver extraction. By the Yongle era of the Ming Dynasty (1403–1424), silver mining reached its peak.

Protected Area: Centered around the largest entrance of the ancient silver mine, extending approximately 500 meters east to the line from Tianchi Longjing to Guankeng, about 120 meters south to the mountain corner behind the highway, roughly 200 meters west to the vertical line of Shimen Gorge, and about 200 meters north to the line of Tianfeng Mountain Gate (Round Stone Gate).

In 2018, the Site of the Suiyingchang Silver Mine was designated as part of the ninth batch of provincial-level cultural heritage protection units by the People’s Government of Fujian Province.

Jinping Village: Originally named Suiyingchang, it was renamed to its current name in 1951. During the Republican era, it consisted of four small villages: Nanshangshan, Yangkou, Bangdian, and Dingtou. In the 1970s, residential areas were expanded, connecting the four villages. After 1977, a primary school, village office building, and others were successively built. It administers five natural villages with a total population of 2,086.

Special Economy: Jinping currently has 3,291 mu of arable land, 4,000 mu of bamboo forests, 1,000 mu of tea fields, and 2,000 mu of castanopsis forests.
