Former Site of the First CPC Zhenghe Branch

The Former Site of the First CPC Zhenghe Branch is a cultural relic protection unit of Fujian Province.

The Former Site of the First CPC Zhenghe Branch is located in Fengtou Village, Dongping Town, Zhenghe County, dating back to 1929.

Introduction: In August 1929, the First CPC Zhenghe Branch was established here, which was expanded into the County Committee in September of the same year; in 1934, the Jian (’ou), Song (xi), and Zheng (he) Soviet Government was founded here. The site was originally the ancestral hall of the Yang family, built in the eighth year of the Guangxu reign during the Qing Dynasty (1882). It faces southwest from the northeast and consists of a main gate, gate hall, covered walkway, and main hall. The gate hall and main hall are connected by corridors, walkways, and side halls, with a total width of 13 meters and a total depth of 23 meters.

In 2013, the Former Site of the First CPC Zhenghe Branch was announced by the People's Government of Fujian Province as part of the eighth batch of provincial-level cultural relic protection units.

Protected area: An additional 10 meters outward from all sides of the site.

Fengtou Village: Fengtou Village is located in the northwest of Zhenghe County, at the scenic eastern foot of Jiangshan Mountain. It is one of the well-known revolutionary base villages in northern Fujian. It is 40 kilometers from downtown Zhenghe and only 4 kilometers from the interchange of the “Ningwu” and “Songjian” expressways, offering very convenient transportation. The village boasts a beautiful environment and profound cultural heritage.
