The Xinquan Revolutionary Site is a classic red tourism destination and a patriotic education base.

The Xinquan Revolutionary Site is located 48 kilometers from Liancheng County and is one of the revolutionary bases, featuring many historical relics from the revolutionary period. In 1929, the reorganization of the Fourth Red Army took place here, along with the famous “Xinquan Training.” It was in the Wangyun Thatched Room that Mao Zedong drafted the “Resolution of the Gutian Conference,” making full preparations for the convening of the Gutian Conference. The site of the Former Revolutionary Committee of Liannan District was the first red political power in Xinquan, personally established under the leadership of Comrade Mao Zedong in 1929. The Xinquan Workers’ and Peasants’ Women’s Night School was founded in June 1929 under the personal care of Comrade Mao Zedong. A large number of women, after attending classes at the night school, raised their revolutionary awareness and contributed to the revolutionary struggle in the Soviet area.
