The ancient cultural ruins on the north bank of Houqili Hai are a cultural tourism attraction.

The ancient cultural ruins on the north bank of Houqili Hai are situated along the northern shore of Houqili Hai in Ninghe County, extending from Pantang to Tongcheng. Discovered in 1957, the exposed relics include two types of pottery: sand-tempered red pottery and clay pottery. Artifacts comprise fragments of jar, basin, steamer, pot, urn, and tube rims, as well as five-zhu coins, cloth currency such as Daquan Fifty, roof tiles, tube tiles, string-pattern bricks, iron chunks, red burned earth, and scattered seashells. Additionally, there are remains of smelting workshops and burial grounds.

The sites include: Balitang in La’anding Village, Xichengdingzi in Dahabei Village, Dongchengdingzi in Zhangzhuang Village, Zhangmatou in Yangzhuang, Yaotaizi in Duojudian, Taoyuan in Xiaohabei, and Cheng’ertuo in Tongcheng—seven locations in total, all dating back to the Warring States Period to the Han Dynasty.
