Tomb of Yu Fangzhou’s Memorial Tablet in Tianjin

The Tomb of Yu Fangzhou’s Memorial Tablet in Tianjin is a cultural tourism attraction.

Introduction The Tomb of Yu Fangzhou’s Memorial Tablet is located within the Ninghe County Martyrs' Cemetery. The memorial mound stands one meter above ground and features a square platform measuring 7.6 meters by 8.7 meters. The front stone steps are surrounded by a railing and low wall, both made of granite. At the center of the platform is a tombstone inscribed with “Tomb of Martyr Yu Fangzhou,” written by Comrade Liu Geping. The upper front part is inlaid with a porcelain portrait of the martyr. The back is engraved with the martyr’s life story. Behind the tablet lies a white marble sarcophagus containing relics. The statue and surrounding architecture are set within a circular passageway.

At the center is a half-figure statue of the martyr, made of white marble (or granite), with the base in a square shape. The front is inscribed with “Light of Tianjin,” written by the mayor.
