Linhai Scenic Tourism Spot

(1) General Information

— The spot is located on the north side of Leshanzhuang Village, Huaidian Township, north of the Chaobai River dike along the Tianjin–Lutai South Line. It is the closest tourism site to Qilihai and integrates dining, entertainment, bathing, fishing, and sightseeing. The site has a total investment of 4 million yuan, covers an area of 1,000 square meters, with a built-up area of 245 square meters and a parking lot of 500 square meters. The dining area accommodates an average of 200 people per day, peaking at 600, serving 56,000 visitors annually, with operating income of 2.1 million yuan in 2007. The bathing area spans 32 square meters, serving 100 people daily and 35,000 annually, generating 500,000 yuan in revenue. Fishing peaks during August to October with up to 1,100 visitors daily, and serves 40,000 visitors per year. There are 1,100 acres of fish ponds and 15 acres of crab ponds.

(2) Ongoing Projects

— Although the spot is a newly developed and relatively well-established rural tourism destination, there remains a significant gap when compared to the standards set by the Tianjin Rural Tourism Characteristic Site Recognition Guidelines. To enhance its service and operational standards and establish a distinctive tourism brand, the following projects will be completed by the end of July 2008.

1. Expand the parking lot by 600 square meters, increasing the number of parking spaces to 88;

2. Pave 500 meters of roadway along the fishing pond edges;

3. Upgrade facilities at fishing guest shelters;

4. Plant 150 trees for greening;

5. Construct one flush toilet and one medical aid station;

6. Install tourist guide signage.
