The Red Flag Spectrum Memorial Hall is a patriotic education base.

The Red Flag Spectrum Memorial Hall is situated near the filming location of the TV series *Red Flag Spectrum* by the Beikou Reservoir in Qilihai, Ninghe County. It was completed in August 2011 and officially opened to the public in early October 2012. As a permanent cultural and artistic exhibition space, the hall is themed around the classic novel *Red Flag Spectrum*, unfolding its characters and plotlines to showcase the history of Chinese peasants’ struggle against feudalism and for freedom. It also highlights the revolutionary life of the red writer Liang Bin, who used his pen to write and advocate for the laboring masses and the overthrow of reactionary rule.

The Red Flag Spectrum Memorial Hall covers an area of 6,670 square meters, with an exhibition space of 650 square meters. The exhibition presents a comprehensive portrayal of Liang Bin’s creative life from multiple perspectives and through various methods. Utilizing advanced equipment and ingenious design, it enhances the exhibit’s emotional impact and appeal, ensuring visitors gain both education and enjoyment, leaving a lasting impression. The entire exhibition spans approximately 180 meters, featuring text, images, reliefs, artistic sculptures, physical objects, footage from the *Red Flag Spectrum* film and TV adaptations, as well as animated portrayals of some characters. Through sound (such as bell chimes), light (changing according to the plot), and electricity (multimedia), it creates a cohesive space that presents the image of Liang Bin as the “Son of the Earth and Red Writer.” This includes static displays (text and images), dynamic exhibits (video materials), three-dimensional forms such as reliefs and round sculptures, as well as physical artifacts like Liang Bin’s manuscripts and calligraphy works. The site also features supporting facilities outside the hall, including a parking lot, shaded rest corridors for visitors, a lotus pond, a dock, and pavilions.

The establishment of the memorial hall holds significant practical importance for patriotic and revolutionary tradition education among young people. Since its opening, it has welcomed nearly 80,000 visitors, including officials from party and government agencies at all levels, primary and secondary school students, and employees from enterprises and institutions. In 2013, it was designated as a Tianjin Patriotic Education Base by the Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government.
