The Xiaosuotongling Border Area Revolutionary Martyrs' Cemetery is a classic red tourism destination and a patriotic education base.

The Xiaosuotongling Border Area Revolutionary Martyrs' Cemetery was established in 1993 and is located on the left side of the entrance to Huangcangyu National Forest Park, covering an area of over 60 acres. It mainly consists of five parts: the main gate, the monument marker, the stele corridor, the inscriptions, and the memorial monument. The Xiaosuotongling Border Area was a crucial passage connecting the two major strategic zones of eastern Henan and northeastern Anhui during the War of Resistance Against Japan and the Liberation War, as well as a vital transportation lifeline fiercely contested by both enemy and friendly forces. After the September 18th Incident in 1931, patriotic youths from the border area, led by Sun Xianghan, engaged in arduous struggles against the Japanese invaders. During the Liberation War, local troops nurtured by the people of the Xiaotong Border Area—including the 25th Regiment, the Xiaotong Independent Regiment, and the Xiaotong Corps—were successively incorporated into the East China and Central Plains Field Armies. They participated in the Huaihai Campaign, the Korean War, and the suppression of rebellions in Tibet, fighting across the country and achieving numerous meritorious deeds.
