Immortal's Bed

A natural giant rock. At Ruiyun Temple, there was an accomplished monk whose Dharma name was "Zhīyú" — possibly derived from the saying "great wisdom appears as foolishness." Every day after morning prayers, he would come here to practice breath control, meditation, and rest. Day after day, over time, the rock took the shape of a bed. The monk followed a healthy lifestyle, and passed away at the age of 141. A mourning couplet was composed in his honor: “Double celebration of old age, yet another year passes, a second encounter with sixty, plus another twenty-one years,” with the horizontal inscription: “Empty and carefree, following fate.”
