The ruins of the Xiaoyao Kiln are a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Anhui.

The ruins of the Xiaoyao Kiln are located in Baitu Town, Xiaoxian County, Anhui Province.

Excavated in 1960. Research indicates that the Xiaoyao Kiln was founded in the Tang Dynasty. With Baitu Town rich in both porcelain clay and fuels such as firewood and coal, the area provided favorable conditions for the kiln’s development. By the Southern Song Dynasty, it had grown into one of the major porcelain kilns operated by the Jin regime in the Xu-Huai region. The ceramics produced here were mostly white-glazed, along with a small number of black-glazed pieces. In addition to jars, vats, and vases, the kiln also made religious artifacts such as Buddha statues and stupas.

Baitu Town: A town under the jurisdiction of Xiaoxian County. Established in 1984, it is located in the southeastern part of the county, 13 kilometers from the county seat and bordering Tongshan District of Jiangsu Province to the north. Covering an area of 69 square kilometers, it has a population of 42,000. The Daoliu River flows from south to north, passing through Huajiasi before turning west into the Zha River. The Xia (County)–Tao (Shanji) and Xia (County)–Zhuang (Li) highways run through the town. It administers 17 village committees: Lücun, Fécun, Dàicūn, Dòngdiàn, Mǎlóu, Ōupán, Lǎoshānkǒu, Huajiasi, Gūxī, Gūdōng, Báitǔ, Zhùsì, Wéizǐ, Fénglóu, Shàocūn, Zhāngcūn, and Miàojiē.
