The Ancient Huqiao Bridge

Located 25 kilometers east of Lixin County, 600 meters northeast of Lugouji in Wangtuan Town, and 100 meters southwest of Huqiao Village. The bridge spans the Gonghe and Qianhe rivers, with a total length of 14 meters. It has five arches, a deck width of 4 meters, and is constructed of brick and stone. The bridge deck is paved with rectangular flagstones, the piers are spindle-shaped, and the base is laid with cylindrical foundation stones, while the upper part is built with blue-gray bricks. The entire structure is simple yet dignified. It was renovated during the Ming Dynasty's Jiajing era and underwent multiple repairs during the Kangxi and Yongzheng periods of the Qing Dynasty. An extant stone inscription from the 21st year of the Daoguang reign (May) titled “Record of the Reconstruction of Hu Family Bridge” provides historical reference. It is now a county-level key cultural relic protection unit.

It borders Sanyi Town of Mengcheng County to the south, Danfeng Township of the same county to the north, Xiaoxinji of Mengcheng County to the east, and Zhongtuan Town of the same county to the west. Covering an area of 83 square kilometers, with an average elevation of 28.6 meters, it governs 28 village committees, 306 villager groups, 176 natural villages, 79,000 mu of arable land, and a population of 51,000.
