Beijing Qingnianhu Park is located on the west side of Andingmen Outer Street in Dongcheng District, Beijing. Originally a large pond, it was excavated into a lake in 1958, and by 1960, hills were piled up, roads built, pavilions erected, and bridges constructed, gradually forming a modern park covering an area of 169,800 square meters, with a water surface of 63,800 square meters and 16,000 trees. The park features both the natural beauty of plant communities and the artistry of floral arrangements and shaped plant designs, showcasing Qingnianhu’s unique horticultural style. It was among the first parks in Beijing to meet the “no exposed bare earth” environmental standard.

Recreational facilities are diverse and innovative, including go-karts, bumper cars, pirate ships, and fighter jets, along with free children’s playgrounds, gateball courts, and fitness equipment. A rich variety of water-based entertainment activities add endless fun to the summer, with boat rides and fishing offering relaxation and delight. At night, colorful lights and an open-air dance floor surrounded by sound systems help busy visitors unwind and enjoy themselves.
