The Bālǐhé Scenic Area in Yǐngshàng County is a national AAAAA-level tourist attraction and a national water conservancy scenic area.

The Fùyáng Yǐngshàng Bālǐhé Scenic Area is located in Bālǐhé Town, in the southern part of Yǐngshàng County, Ānhuī Province. It borders the Huái River to the south, the Yǐng River to the east, lies 8 kilometers north of Yǐngchéng, 58 kilometers west of Fùyáng, and over 170 kilometers southeast of Héféi. The Bālǐhé Scenic Area is a national 4A-level tourist attraction, and its environmental achievements have earned it the United Nations Environment Programme’s “Global 500 Roll of Honour.”

Covering an area of over 3,000 acres, the scenic area mainly consists of several sections: “World Landscapes,” “Splendid China,” “Bird Forest,” and “Azure Wave Tourist Area.” “World Landscapes” features miniature replicas of world-famous structures such as the Temple of Zeus in Greece, the Arc de Triomphe in France, the Reichstag Building in Germany, the Grand Canyon in the United States, Dutch windmills, the Sacré-Cœur Basilica in Paris, and the White Dagoba on Beihai Lake. Swan Lake is serene with rippling waters, where fish swim joyfully and birds sing; the lake’s central calligraphy corridor is exquisitely carved and delicate. The willow-lined embankment features graceful, swaying trees, presenting the charming scenery of a Jiangnan water town. To the west of the “World Landscapes” area lies an amusement park fully equipped to offer a variety of experiences. “Splendid China Park” showcases the essence of Eastern architectural art and traditional Chinese culture. The Suzhou-style gardens are quaint and exquisite, rich in antique charm. The White Sparrow Temple features majestic halls with a simple and solemn style. The Nine Heavens Waterfall cascades with a powerful, jade-like splash. Beneath the Hundred Dragons Pavilion, green willows provide shade, lotus flowers bathe in the water, and the People’s Monument stands tall and imposing. On Zhanggong Mountain, the Great Wall winds along winding paths leading to secluded spots, offering panoramic views of the entire scenic area from the mountaintop. The “Bird Forest” contains trees, rockeries, and winding paths with ponds to provide habitats for birds. Nearly 100 species of birds reside here, including first-class nationally protected species such as the green peafowl, white stork, scaly-sided merganser, white-tailed sea eagle, and red-crowned crane, as well as second-class protected species like the swan, mandarin duck, white-naped crane, grey crane, silver pheasant, greater white-fronted goose, and vulture. Entering the Bird Forest, you’ll see cranes dancing gracefully, mandarin ducks playing in the water, black swans behaving politely, peacocks and turkeys displaying their plumage, ostriches running about, and the elegant beauty of golden pheasants, the pure whiteness of swans, the fierce demeanor of vultures, and the colorful feathers of small birds. Bālǐhé Bird Forest is a natural place where humans and birds coexist in harmony. The “Azure Wave Tourist Area” allows visitors to walk the Great Wall, cross iron suspension bridges, explore islands in the lake, observe hippos and crocodiles, watch monkeys play, see turtles and pythons, and also view rare wild animals such as Mongolian wild donkeys, Xinjiang wild horses, Mongolian camels, seals, bears, giraffes, and black swans. The Han Culture Village captures moments from the historical development of the Han people, vividly showcasing their production and daily life before the 1960s. On the south side of the white pagoda on the north shore of the lake, there is also a 100-meter natural bathing beach where visitors can show off their swimming skills and enjoy the sunshine.

Bālǐhé Town: Bālǐhé Town is located in the southern part of Yǐngchéng, 5 kilometers from the city, bordered by the Huái River to the south, with the Bālǐhé River running through it, connecting to the Third Lake upstream and the Yǐng River downstream. The terrain is complex, with a mix of hills, slopes, lakes, and lowlands. The town covers an area of 89 square kilometers, with a current population of 51,467 and 48,500 mu of arable land. It administers 31 administrative villages. Among them, the Bālǐhé Scenic Area is a nationally renowned 4A-level attraction, while the Bālǐhé Fish Farm is a leading aquatic enterprise in northwestern Ānhuī.
