Jieming Hall

Jieming Hall is a municipal cultural heritage site of Beijing.

Jieming Hall is located

at No. A83 Beihéyán Street and is among the fifth batch of municipal-level cultural heritage sites protected by Beijing.

It was originally the site of the residence of Fuheng, a grand secretary during the Qing Dynasty’s Qianlong era. Jieming Hall, fully named the Jieming Memorial Hall, was built by Peking University in honor of Mr. Cai Yuanpei. The complex has two courtyards, a ceremonial gate to the south, a main hall with five bays, a terrace, and five-bay side halls on the east and west. The rear courtyard includes a seven-bay back hall with side corridors on the east and west.
