Wuwei County Martyrs' Cemetery is a patriotic education base.

Wuwei County Martyrs' Cemetery was first built in 1953 and is located south of Xiuxi Park, a scenic area in Wuwei County. In 1986, a new Wuwei County Martyrs Memorial Hall, Martyrs Memorial Tower, and Memorial Square were constructed. In 2003, the original cemetery underwent renovation and expansion, bringing the current area to 20,000 square meters. Upon entering the main gate, visitors are greeted by the “National Anthem Wall,” with an inscription on the back providing an introduction to the cemetery. On both sides leading up the steps are rows of martyrs’ tombs. In the center of the square stands the solemn Revolutionary Martyrs Monument, with four sides made of white marble carved with large bas-reliefs depicting major scenes including the “Liuzhou Uprising,” the “Establishment of the 7th Division,” the “Crossing-the-Yangtze Campaign,” and the heroic participation of outstanding sons and daughters of Wuwei County in the Volunteer Army during the Korean War. The square surrounding the monument covers an area of 1,200 square meters. The Wuwei County Revolutionary History Exhibition Hall is divided into seven exhibition rooms, showcasing major historical events that took place in Wuwei County from the founding of the Special Branch of the Communist Party of China in August 1927 to various periods throughout its history, as well as the great achievements made by the people of Wuwei County under the correct leadership of the Communist Party of China in the new era. The exhibition rooms use modern techniques involving sound, light, and electricity to display over 500 historical photos from different periods, more than 100 various artifacts, three battle scene recreations, as well as lifelike wax figures, a simulated Anti-Japanese War battlefield, and a Crossing-the-Yangtze sand table.
