Dai Anlan’s Former Residence is a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

Dai Anlan’s Former Residence is located in Wuwei County, Wuhu City, dating back to the late Qing Dynasty.

Dai Anlan’s Former Residence was the home of a renowned Chinese anti-Japanese general. It is located in Fenghe Natural Village, Lianxi Community, Hongxiang Township, Wuwei County. The house where he lived during his youth and adolescence is a brick-and-wood structure consisting of ten rooms forming a quadrangle courtyard with two enclosed wings. The wall bricks were made in a 1:3:7 ratio, and the interior partition walls are made of interlocking wooden planks, representing a typical architectural structure of China's Ming and Qing periods.

In 2012, Dai Anlan’s Former Residence was designated as a Provincial-Level Cultural Relics Protection Unit (7th batch) by the People’s Government of Anhui Province.

On October 7, 2019, Dai Anlan’s Former Residence was included in the list of the 8th Batch of National Key Cultural Relics Protection Units.

Protected Area: One meter outside the perimeter walls of the residence in the east, west, south, and north directions.

Construction Control Zone: Twenty meters outside the protected area.

Dai Anlan (1904–1942), also known as Dai Bingyang, originally named Yan Gong and self-styled Hai’ou, was of Han ethnicity from Qigan Dai Village, Lianxi Township, Wuwei, Anhui. He was a famous national hero, an eminent anti-Japanese general, and a key figure among the Whampoa military clique.

Domestic Resistance War

In 1925, Dai Anlan entered the Infantry Department of the third phase of the Whampoa Military Academy, and the following year, he participated in the Northern Expedition. In the winter of 1932, he was appointed as the commander of the 145th Regiment of the 25th Division and led his troops to the anti-Japanese front line in Beiping.
