The Zhou Clan Ancestral Hall in Hongxiang is a cultural relic protection unit of Anhui Province.

The ancestral hall faces south and has a three-courtyard, three-bay structure, consisting of the front hall named “Chongqian Qihou” (Honoring the Past to Inspire the Future), the middle hall called “Jingsi Tang” (Hall of Reverent Thoughts), and the rear hall known as “Zhaomu Xianling” (Hall of Ancestral Spirits). There are two courtyards in the front and back, with side rooms on both sides, covering a total area of 509 square meters. The Zhou Clan Ancestral Hall in Hongxiang was first built in the 6th year of the Kangxi reign during the Qing Dynasty (1667) and was renovated in the 60th year of Kangxi (1721). The structure is grand and spacious, with exquisitely carved eaves, brackets, spandrels, partition screens, and lattice windows. Since the 1950s, the ancestral hall has been used as the village’s grain storage facility, which helped preserve it.

Protected area: 1 meter to the east, west, and north outside the wall, and 10 meters to the south.

Construction control zone: 20 meters beyond the protected area on all sides.
