Yuting Ancient Stage

The Yuting Ancient Stage is a cultural relic protection unit of Anhui Province.

The Yuting Ancient Stage faces west and is situated opposite the main hall of the ancestral temple. It consists of two parts: the front stage and the backstage. The front stage serves as the performance area, with its edge extending through both side wings and a small storage room beside it. The stage surface is 2 meters high, covering a total area of 98.6 square meters. On both sides of the stage opening are viewing areas, totaling 38 square meters. The center of the front stage features a caisson-style painted ceiling that layers inward. The front eaves, angled braces, spandrels, and curved beams are all carved with theatrical figures and floral-bird patterns, featuring vivid designs and lifelike characters. The structure is built with a brick-and-wood frame, compactly laid out and highly decorative. It is one of the better-preserved ancient stages in China to date. It is now a key cultural relic protection unit of Anhui Province.
