The former residence of Hu Yuanlong is located in Wenqiao Group, Guixi Village, Pingli Town, Qimen County, dating back to the Qing Dynasty.

Hu Yuanlong (1835–1924), courtesy name Yangru, was a native of Guixi (now part of Pingli Town) in the southern part of Qimen. He dedicated his life to the tea and ceramics industries, achieving remarkable success.

During the Xianfeng era of the Qing Dynasty (1851–1861), he reclaimed over a thousand acres of mountain land outside Liwuwu Village in Guixi, planted tea trees, and built the Peigui Mountain House. He produced his own dried tea, yielding more than 50 dan per year. At that time, green tea was not selling well, so he studied the methods of making black tea. Guixi Village: Located in the southwestern part of Qimen County and the northwestern end of Pingli Town, Guixi Village is traversed by the Anhui–Jiangxi Railway. It is 18 kilometers from the county government seat of Qimen and 7 kilometers from the town government seat of Pingli. The village features a landscape of mountains, rivers, and hills, with relatively abundant natural resources. It is a mountainous village primarily earning income from forestry and tea. The village comprises 10 villager groups, with 347 households and a total population of 1,371. Its main industries are traditional agriculture, focusing on forestry, tea, and grain. There is currently one black tea primary processing plant in the village.
