He County Xiliangshan Martyrs' Cemetery is a patriotic education base.

He County Xiliangshan Martyrs' Cemetery is located in Baiqiao Town, Zhengpu Port New District, Ma'anshan City, about 30 kilometers from Hexian County. Covering an area of 400 acres, it consists of Da Tuo Mountain and Xiao Tuo Mountain. Xiliangshan, together with Dongliangshan in Wuhu, is known as Tianmen Mountain and has long been a strategic military site. It gained widespread fame thanks to the poem "Viewing Tianmen Mountain" by the poetic genius Li Bai, and has been renowned for millennia due to the four characters “振衣濯足” (Shake the Dust from One’s Clothes and Wash One’s Feet) carved into the cliff by Wang Xizhi. On the eve of the Crossing-the-Yangtze Campaign in 1949, the 268th, 269th, and 270th Regiments of the 90th Division of the 30th Army of the 9th Corps of the Chinese People's Liberation Army's Third Field Army were ordered to attack Xiliangshan to divert enemy forces and create conditions for the campaign. After three days and nights of fierce fighting, over a thousand officers and soldiers shed their blood on Xiliangshan, making an indelible contribution to crossing the Yangtze River and liberating all of China.

To commemorate the great achievements of the revolutionary martyrs, the Martyrs' Cemetery was built after the founding of the People’s Republic of China. It consists of the Monument to the People’s Heroes, the Martyrs’ Tower, martyr tombs, memorial pavilions, the Revolutionary Martyrs Memorial Hall, and some auxiliary service facilities. The memorial hall covers a construction area of approximately 1,400 square meters and is divided into five exhibition halls according to historical periods, displaying the deeds of both Hexian-native martyrs and non-Hexian martyrs who sacrificed their lives in Hexian, from the Great Revolution to the period of reform and opening up. The memorial hall uses various artistic forms such as text, photographs, artifacts, sculptures, and oil paintings, as well as modern technological methods including sound, light, and electricity, to vividly recreate the scenes of the revolutionary struggles of that time.
