Qiaojiazhuang Site

The Qiaojiazhuang Site is a cultural heritage protection unit of Ma'anshan.

Qiaojiazhuang Site: Located to the south of Qiaoshan Administrative Village, Laqiao Town, He County. It dates back to the Neolithic Age.

On June 5, 2015, the Qiaojiazhuang Site was designated as part of the fifth batch of municipal-level cultural heritage protection units in Ma'anshan.

Protection zone: 5 meters outside the site itself; construction control zone: 10 meters outside the site itself.

Laqiao Town: Laqiao Town has a long history. It has been under the jurisdiction of Hezhou since the Tang Dynasty. The town has a population of 62,000 and covers an area of 123 square kilometers, with 70,000 mu of arable land. It governs 8 village committees and 2 communities.

The town is located in the central part of He County, just 3 kilometers from Hexian County. The Chuwu Provincial Road runs through it. To the east, it faces the Yangtze River and is separated from Ma'anshan by the river. The Ma'anshan Yangtze River Highway Bridge and a deep-water port on the Yangtze River are soon to be constructed here. To the south, it borders the Chaowu Expressway and the Wuhu Yangtze River Bridge, with the Huainan Railway nearby. To the north, it lies close to the Hening Expressway, the Nanjing Yangtze River Third Bridge, and is within the 1-hour metropolitan area of Nanjing. To the west, it connects via the Chaoning Road.
