Lijiashan Site

Lijiashan Site: Located 300 meters south of Wangzhuang Village, Chengbei Administrative Village, Liyang Town, Hexian County. It dates back to the Shang and Zhou dynasties.

On July 28, 2017, the Lijiashan Site was designated as part of the sixth batch of municipal-level cultural heritage protection units in Ma'anshan City.

Protected Area: Extends 106 meters from east to west to the dry-season irrigation channel at the foot of the mountain, and 82.5 meters from north to south to the farmland at the foot of the mountain; Construction Control Zone: 5 meters beyond the protected area.

Liyang Town: Liyang Town, anciently known as Yafu City, was established over 2,000 years ago by Fan Zeng, the Marquis of Liyang. During the Eastern Han Dynasty, it served as a station of the ancient Yangzhou Commandery. It is now the political, economic, and cultural center of Hexian County, and is recognized as a “Star Township,” one of the “Top Ten Townships,” and an “Advanced National Spiritual Civilization Township” in Chaohu City. The town covers a total area of 164 square kilometers, governs 17 villages and 8 communities, and has a population of 133,000, including approximately 100,000 urban residents.
