Zhangsike Ruins

Zhangsike Ruins: Located in Zhangsike Village, Longtang Administrative Village, Xiangquan Town, Hexian County. The site covers an area of approximately 12,000 square meters and dates back to the Shang and Zhou dynasties.

On July 28, 2017, the Zhangsike Ruins were designated as part of the sixth batch of municipal-level cultural heritage protection units in Ma'anshan City.

Protected area: Starting from the approximate center of the ruins, extending 65 meters east, 75 meters west, 140 meters from east to west, 120 meters south, 100 meters north, and 230 meters from north to south; construction control zone: starting from the approximate center of the ruins, extending 115 meters east to farmland, 125 meters west to farmland, 240 meters from east to west, 170 meters south to farmland, 160 meters north to farmland, and 330 meters from north to south.

Xiangquan Town: Xiangquan Town is under the jurisdiction of Hexian County, located in eastern Anhui, bordering Pukou District of Nanjing. It falls within the 30-minute metropolitan circle of Nanjing and is surrounded by major cities such as Hefei, Wuhu, Ma'anshan, and Chuzhou. Provincial Highway Chuwu Road runs through the town, and there are connecting roads from the Hefei-Nanjing and Hefei-Chaohu expressways leading directly to Xiangquan. The town is less than 40 minutes from Nanjing Lukou International Airport and within 30 li of the Yangtze River, a vital waterway. It lies at the forefront of Anhui Province’s eastward development strategy.
