This "Little Heavenly Gate" landscape is formed by a collection of unique rocks featuring characters and paintings. Take a close look at the central rock, which bears three large white characters: “小天门” (Little Heavenly Gate). The character “小” (small) lacks the usual hook at the bottom, resembling regular script; “天” (heaven) is written in wild cursive; and “门” (gate) is in traditional Chinese. These three characters were certainly not written by human hands but are instead the result of random yet skillful inclusions of limestone within the granite formation — an astonishing natural phenomenon that created “unintentional characters that astonish all.” The nearby inkstone and brush rocks belong to the "painted rock" wonders: one is a jet-black, smooth inkstone, and the other is a long-bristled brush with a straight handle.
