The Stone Archway Honoring the Chastity and Filial Piety of Madam Cheng, Widow of the Late Scholar Hu Hongju, is a cultural relic protection unit of Jixi County.

Located on the south side of the eastern end of Liang’an Road in Huayang Town, it is a Qing Dynasty structure covering an area of 10 square meters. The archway features two pillars, a single gate, and three stories, constructed with tea garden stone in imitation of wooden architecture. It faces north-south, stands 7.6 meters tall, is 4.3 meters wide, and extends 2.2 meters deep. Its brackets support the overhanging eaves, and the main ridge is adorned with mythical ao fish at both ends. The beams and columns are fitted with spandrel brackets, while the stone pillars on the north and south sides are flanked by drum stones. The vertical plaque beneath the main ridge bears the inscription “Imperial Edict,” surrounded by a design of coiled dragons. The central floral panel features the eight characters “Pure as Ice, Resolute as Jade” and “Illuminating the Glorious Annals.” The lower beam inscribes the words “The Stone Archway Honoring the Chastity and Filial Piety of Madam Cheng, Widow of the Late Scholar Hu Hongju.” In 2000, it was designated as a county-level key cultural relic protection unit, with approval document number Jizheng [2000] No. 31.
