The Wang Rixiang Residence is a cultural heritage site protected by Jixi County.

The Wang Rixiang Residence

Located at the entrance of Zhukeng Village in Fuling Town, this residence is a late Qing Dynasty building, covering an area of 140 square meters. It faces southwest and has a single-entry, three-bay layout. A latticed window is set into the front eaves wall, and the second floor features low windows with paneling. The wooden carvings inside are modestly detailed. A small door is opened in the rear eaves wall at the top of the staircase, leading to the back mountain. During the Liberation War period, it served as a major base of operations for the county’s East Route guerrilla unit. Dozens of wounded and sick guerrilla fighters were stationed here year-round for medical care, earning it the nickname “field hospital.” It is an important revolutionary memorial site in the county. In 2000, it was designated as a key cultural relic protection unit of the county, under approval document No. Jizheng [2000] 31.

Fuling Town: Fuling Town is situated in the southeastern part of Jixi County, bordering Maxiao Township of Lin’an City, Zhejiang Province to the east, Yingzhou Township to the south, Yangxi Town to the west, and Jiapeng Township to the north. The Jihu Highway runs north-south through the entire town, and the Hukan Highway connects directly to the provincial-level Wutun Highway. The town government is located 22 kilometers from the county seat. The town covers a total area of 183 square kilometers, about one-sixth of the county’s total area. It has 216,350 mu of mountainous land, 14,145 mu of cultivated land, a total population of 21,232, and 6,164 households. It governs 12 village committees.
