The Fang Clan Ancestral Hall in Huli

Located in Huli Natural Village, Longchuan Village, it faces west and was built during the Qing Dynasty, covering an area of 785 square meters. The ancestral hall is built with a brick-and-wood structure, featuring three courtyards and five bays. The entrance gate has a double-eaved hip-and-gable roof, flanked by gable walls made of plain bricks inlaid with finely detailed brick carvings. The lintels on both the front and rear sides feature six deep-relief carvings illustrating the natural and cultural landscapes of Huli Village. The front eaves of the middle courtyard are fitted with stone-carved railings, and the roof frame combines raised-beam and through-tenon construction. It has a flush-gable roof with fireproof walls on the exterior, a central ridge adorned with floral tiles, and dragon-head ornaments at both ends. The bracket sets support the overhanging eaves, and the side bays are equipped with intricately carved wooden lattice doors. The rear section is a two-story building with a lower eave in the front, also using a combined raised-beam and through-tenon roof frame, and a flush-gable roof. Due to years of neglect and lack of proper protection and maintenance, the rear section has collapsed. Nevertheless, the wooden carvings are exceptionally exquisite and hold considerable artistic value.
