Yuchuan Village is located in Shangzhuang Town, Jixi County, and boasts profound historical heritage with numerous ancient dwellings. Among them, the ancient houses numbered 29, 14, and 4 are relatively well-preserved.

The owner of the Wang Kailang Residence was taken to Shanghai by Wang Liping, the founder of the Wang Yutai Tea House, to engage in the tea trade during his childhood. This residence is located at No. 29 (Sanjiacun) in Yuchuan Village, Shangzhuang Town. Built during the Qing Dynasty, it faces south with a total area of 185 square meters. The residence features symmetrical layouts on both upper and lower floors, interconnected second-floor spaces, side rooms to the east and west, and a rammed earth floor. The diagonal braces and bracket arms inside are exquisitely carved. To better preserve the wooden components, the diagonal braces have been removed and stored. The left side of the house was originally the kitchen but has since been rebuilt. There is a front courtyard with bluestone slabs laid horizontally. Above the inner gate, the door tower is adorned with a diamond-shaped brickwork in the center of which is embedded the character “Fu” (fortune), giving it certain cultural relic value.

The Wang Wuting Residence is located at No. 14 (Sanjiacun) in Yuchuan Village, Shangzhuang Town. Built in the late Qing Dynasty, it faces south with a total area of 215 square meters. The residence also features symmetrical layouts on both upper and lower floors, interconnected second-floor spaces, side rooms to the east and west. The diagonal braces, bracket arms, and lattice windows inside are all intricately carved. The main hall displays a plaque inscribed with “Peide Hall” (Hall of Cultivating Virtue), with the upper inscription reading “19th Year of the Republic of China, 1930, Mid-Autumn Season” and the lower inscription “Written by Chen Lei of Haizhou.” The right side of the residence is the kitchen, and the gate tower of the house features exquisitely carved brick ornamentation. Opposite the main room is a corridor area, while the left side originally housed the dining room, which was redistributed during the land reform period. Wang Wuting engaged in business in Shanghai during the late Qing Dynasty, and after making his fortune, he returned home to build this house. The structure remains largely intact and is well-preserved.

The Wang Xiren Residence is located at No. 4 (Sanjiacun) in Yuchuan Village, Shangzhuang Town. Built in the late Qing Dynasty, it faces south with a total area of 150 square meters. This residence also features symmetrical layouts on both upper and lower floors, interconnected second-floor spaces, side rooms to the east and west, and a central courtyard. The main hall displays a plaque inscribed with “Mingde Hall” (Hall of Esteemed Virtue); the original plaque was lost by the owner, who later commissioned a replacement. The wooden carvings inside are exquisitely crafted. The brick gate tower above the main entrance is inscribed with the characters “Nanjixiangxiang” (Auspicious Signs from the South Pole) in running script. On the right side of the main hall is a courtyard, whose gate tower is inscribed with “Xishangongxiu” (Western Hills Complementing Elegance), with the upper inscription “1932, Summer, Republic of China” and the lower inscription “Inscribed by Xifang Cen of Jingyang Bo.” This residence remains fully preserved.
