The Ancestral Hall of the Gao Family in Zhusan is a cultural relic protection unit of Jixi County.

Located in Zhusan Village, Fuling Town, it faces southwest and covers an area of 256 square meters. The structure is composed of three sections with three bays each, featuring front and rear courtyards. The front section has a gable-and-hip roofed gate tower with an arched ceiling, the middle section uses a combined post-and-lintel and beam-column framework, and the rear wall of the middle section was newly built. The rear section has been converted into a single-story building. The hall is decorated with stone column supports, camel humps, sparrow brackets, and flat tray capitals. The ancestral hall is largely well-preserved and holds certain historical value.

In 1949, the Zhusan Reorganization took place in Zhusan Village, marking a decisive victory in the workers' and peasants' revolution of Jixi. Over 400 troops from the main detachment were organized into two regiments, four companies, and one local company. The First Regiment was commanded by Shu Mengxiong, with political instructor Dai Jixiang; the Second Regiment was commanded by Sun Zhongyou, with political instructor Wang Zonghan. The First Company was formed from the original First Company of the Wanxi Detachment, commanded by Tao Rong, with political commissar Zhou Yilong; the Fourth Company was formed from the original Second Company of the Wanxi Detachment, commanded by Zhang Shenghe; the Fifth Company was formed from the original Fifth Company of the Wanxi Detachment, commanded by Chen Dehong, with political commissar Wang Mingde; the Local Company was formed from the Shuinan Armed Work Team of She County, commanded by Yu Xiukun. In addition, there were over 30 members of the direct cultural troupe of the Wanxi Detachment, commanded by Zhu Fan and political instructor Huang Shifang. The Gao Family Ancestral Hall served as the quarters for these five companies.

Fuling Town: Fuling Town is located in the southeastern part of Jixi County, bordering Maxiao Township of Lin’an City, Zhejiang Province to the east, Yingzhou Township to the south, Yangxi Town to the west, and Jiapeng Township to the north. The Jihu Highway runs north-south through the entire town, while the Hukan Highway connects directly to the provincial-level Wutun Highway. The town government is located 22 kilometers from the county seat. The town covers a total area of 183 square kilometers, about one-sixth of the county’s total area, with mountainous land spanning 216,350 mu, cultivated land of 14,145 mu, a total population of 21,232, and 6,164 households. It governs 12 village committees.
