The former site of the headquarters of the Central Independent Second Red Army Division is a national AAA-level tourist attraction, a cultural relics protection unit of Anhui Province, a classic red tourism destination, and a base for patriotic education.

The former site of the headquarters of the Central Independent Second Red Army Division, located in Yuexi County, has recently been rated as a 3A-level tourist attraction by the Provincial Tourism Attraction Quality Rating Committee.

This site is a provincial-level key cultural relics protection unit and was originally a well-preserved ancient ancestral hall. In the 1930s, a famous peasant revolution—the Qianshui Fort Uprising—took place in the Tian Tang area of Yuexi. The Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army Qianshan Revolutionary Army was formed here, which was later successively renamed the Qianshan Workers' and Peasants' Revolutionary Army, the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army 34th Division, and the Central Independent Second Red Army Division. Due to its strategic location and well-preserved condition, this ancestral hall became the headquarters of this revolutionary army.

In recent years, Yuexi County has increased efforts to protect ancient architecture, investing in the restoration of this site and subsequently establishing exhibitions within it, including the “Exhibition on the Life and Deeds of Wang Buwen,” the “History Exhibition of the Independent Second Division Headquarters,” the “Photo Exhibition of Ancient Architecture in Yuexi,” and the “Folk Customs Exhibition of the Dabie Mountains.” These additions have made the site a new highlight for tourism in Yuexi and a new base for patriotic education.
