The former residence of Wang Buwen is located in Tang’ao Group, Zifu Village, Wenquan Town, about 9 kilometers northwest of Yuexi County’s urban area, which is also his birthplace. The residence faces south and is surrounded by small hills, with evergreen pines and bamboos. The house is built with a brick-and-wood structure, consisting of two main sections connected by a cross courtyard. The building covers a construction area of 465 square meters on a site of 5 mu. The front courtyard and wing rooms were where Wang Buwen studied in his youth, with the words “Book Garden” inscribed by him on the lintel. After joining the revolution, he often returned to his hometown to connect with like-minded individuals, spread Marxism-Leninism, and recruit party members—this wing room became a site for his revolutionary activities. In May 1998, the former residence was designated as a provincial-level cultural relic protection unit.

Wang Buwen (1898–1931), courtesy name Weimo, used the aliases Wang Ziping, Zhu Hua, and Wang Hua. He was from Sifu Temple, Qianshan County (now Siqu Township, Tangchi District, Yuexi County), and was one of the early leaders of the Communist Party of China in Anhui Province.

In the 30th year of the Guangxu reign of the Qing Dynasty (1904), Wang Buwen began his education in a private school. In the spring of the 4th year of the Republic of China (1915), he studied at the Liu Family School (later renamed Cuixin Primary School), founded by the revolutionary Liu Ruoyu. In the 6th year of the Republic of China, he and Wang Xiaoting organized the “Leyue Club” among students of Cuixin Primary School to study new ideas and explore new issues.
