The former site of the 28th Red Army reconstruction meeting is a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit and a classic red tourism destination.

The former site of the 28th Red Army reconstruction meeting is located at Liangting'ao in Hetu Town, Yuexi County.

This area served as a key transportation route between Anhui and Hubei. At the ridge stands the Wang-Hu Ancestral Hall, originally constructed during the Yongzheng era (1723–1735) and renovated in the second year of the Jiaqing reign (1797). The structure is made of brick and wood, featuring 41 rooms over an area of about 1,100 square meters. The entire building is richly adorned with carved beams and painted rafters, exuding grandeur. On February 1, 1935, Gao Jingting, Secretary of the Northwest Anhui District Committee of the Communist Party of China, following instructions from the Henan-Hubei-Anhui Provincial Committee, re-established the 28th Red Army to continue the armed struggle in the border region of Henan, Hubei, and Anhui. On February 3, Gao led his troops to Liangting'ao and held a meeting in the Wang-Hu Ancestral Hall, where it was decided to combine the 218th Red Army Regiment with the Independent Regiment of Eastern Hubei to form the newly re-established 28th Red Army.

Hetu Town: Established in 1992, Yuexi County's Hetu Town was formed through the merger of the former Nanshan Township, Hetu Township, and Liangting Township. Located at the border of Anhui and Hubei provinces, it is traversed east-west by National Highway 318 and north-south by Provincial Road 211. The soon-to-be-constructed Hefei-Wuhan Expressway runs around the mountainous area, offering convenient transportation. In 2005, the town had a total of 2,918 households and a population of 11,546, covering 7 administrative villages, 168 villager groups, with a land area of 172 square kilometers, 180,000 mu of mountainous land, 9,535 mu of arable land, fiscal revenue of 1.12 million yuan, township enterprise operating income of 120 million yuan, and a per capita rural income of 1,600 yuan...
