The stone statues at Baojia Stone Buddha Temple are located in Shifo Village, Baojia Township, Yuexi County, and date back to the Ming Dynasty.

On September 22, 2017, the stone statues at Baojia Stone Buddha Temple were designated as part of the seventh batch of municipal-level cultural heritage protection units in Anqing City.

Baojia Township: Baojia Township is located in the northwest of Yuexi County, at the junction of three counties (Yuexi, Huoshan, and Yingshan) across Anhui and Hubei provinces. It is 55 kilometers from the county seat of Yuexi. To the east, it borders Qingtian Township; to the south, Heping Township; to the west, Caopan Town of Yingshan County in Hubei Province and Taiping Township of Huoshan County in our province; and to the north, Taiyang Township of Huoshan County. Provincial Highway 209 runs through the entire township. It governs 4 administrative villages and 81 villager groups, with a total population of 5,756 in 2005, all of whom are Han Chinese.
