The former site of the Red Twenty-Eighth Army's ambush battle at Miaodao Mountain is a municipal-level cultural heritage site in Anqing.

The former site of the Red Twenty-Eighth Army's ambush battle at Miaodao Mountain (Aoshang Laowu and Lichong Xaiwu) is located in Maoshan Village and Henan Village, Wuhe Town, Yuexi County, dating back to the Qing Dynasty.

On September 22, 2017, the former site of the Red Twenty-Eighth Army's ambush battle at Miaodao Mountain was designated as part of the seventh batch of municipal-level cultural heritage protection units in Anqing City.

Wuhe Town: Wuhe Town is located in the central-southern part of Yuexi County, approximately 22 kilometers from the county seat. It has a population of 19,608 and administers 12 administrative villages. The town features a landscape of alternating mountains and rivers, with an average elevation of around 450 meters. Transportation is convenient, with roads connecting it to neighboring towns in all directions. Each village also enjoys access to “three connections” (roads, communications, and electricity), and infrastructure such as transportation, communication, and power supply is relatively well-developed. In 2003, the per capita net income of farmers was 1,502 yuan.
