The former site of the Red Twenty-Eighth Army Garrison is a municipal-level cultural heritage site in Anqing.

The former site of the Red Twenty-Eighth Army Garrison (Wang'er House, Jiang House, and Hedong Flower House) is located in Shuanghe Village, Wuhe Town, Yuexi County, dating back to the Qing Dynasty.

On September 22, 2017, the former site of the Red Twenty-Eighth Army Garrison was designated as part of the seventh batch of municipal-level cultural heritage protection units in Anqing City.

Wuhe Town: Located in the central-southern part of Yuexi County, Wuhe Town is 22 kilometers from the county seat, with a population of 19,608. It administers 12 administrative villages. The area features a landscape of alternating mountains and rivers, with an average elevation of about 450 meters. It enjoys convenient transportation, with roads connecting it to neighboring towns on all sides. Each village has also achieved “three accesses” (transportation, communication, and electricity), and infrastructure such as transport, telecommunications, and power supply is relatively well-developed. In 2003, the per capita net income of farmers was 1,502 yuan.
