The Site of the Huangwei River Uprising – Zheng Clan Ancestral Hall is located in Pingdong Village, Huangwei Town, Yuexi County, dating back to the Republican era.

On September 22, 2017, the Site of the Huangwei River Uprising – Zheng Clan Ancestral Hall was designated as part of the seventh batch of municipal-level cultural heritage protection units in Anqing City.

Huangwei Town: Yexi Town is located at the junction of Anhui and Hubei provinces, bordering Taihu, Yuexi, and Yingshan counties. It is a major agricultural town on the southwestern edge of Yuexi County, 86 km from the county seat. Provincial Highway S211 runs through the town. The town has 11 administrative villages, 240 villager groups, 5,912 households, and a total population of 24,147 in 2005. Covering an area of 84 square kilometers, it includes 17,941.4 mu of arable land and 75,000 mu of mountainous land.
